2 Natural Hair Events In Toronto

Sunshine and Fros is a natural hair event for anyone with afro-textured hair,  as well those who are transitioning or are simply curious about natural hair. For the first time in hair meet ups, we will be having an exciting segment called “Mommy and Me Coily Hair Time” where I will be sharing healthy natural hair tips with parents with Natural Haired (Afro) Kids. This will be an interactive session with games and prizes to be won, so bring your kids and invite all your mommy friends.

What to Expect
There will be two workshops going on at the same time to accommodate for the needs of the different groups that will be attending the event. Below are planned activities for the day
Adult Session:

4. Q & A Panel (Combined Session for ALL attendants)

Yes that’s right, I’ll be doing a workshop called – The Right Product + Technique = Less Tears, Sponsored by Alikay Naturals.  Añya will be showing us how the right combination of products and techniques on our coily/curly hair will produce more favourable results and less disappointments. Curls, Coils & Cocktails is a premiere event that celebrates the diversity and beauty of natural hair! Produced and hosted by Bridget “Bee” Quammie and Ann Marie “amc” Collymore, this event gives attendees an opportunity to mix, mingle, and meet while getting valuable information, engaging in meaningful discussion, and being entertained all at the same time!

This year’s theme is ‘Dos & Diversity – so whether you’re a twist-out master, loving your locs, rocking a low fade, or just looking for more information on natural hair care and styling, this is the event for you!

On July 26th 2014 from 5-9pm, join us at The Uptown Loft (2464 Yonge Street, Toronto ON) – the evening will feature:

– mix and mingling – music by DJ Sean Sax – carefully curated vendors – a panel discussion on the diversity of natural hair with Chloe Creavalle, Glenna from Hair by Glenna, Rowena Richmond and Karlene Valentine from Curl Bar – performance and Q&A with Canada’s top funk/soul/rock artist Saidah Baba Talibah – door prizes and much more!
